Uses for Iron:

There are 2 uses for iron that I know of. One is for Voln and the other is for gaining experience from the sale of it. Both are worthy uses for that extra iron that is made or found.

Voln:	A step in voln requires the making of a slab of iron to throw into a lake.
	One slab is need for this step.
	Just a note here. . . The Iron MUST be made by the person who is going to use it. The step will not be gained if someone other than the intended user makes the iron slab!

For Experience:	An iron slab made/found and sold to the blacksmith will give a good amount of experience to the seller.
	This only works until about the age of 6 trains.

Where to Make Iron At:

Iron is made in the Kobold mines outside of Wehnimer'sLanding. To get there follow below:

Start inside the north gate:
go gate, sw, s, s, s, s, s, se, e, e, go bridge, climb bank, ne, nw, n, n, ne, ne, n, n, nw, go hole

There is also a scroll available to get to the Kobold Mines and to collect the ingredients.

Place the scroll in: . . . Simu/Wizard/Gemstone/scripts/

The script does not do the actual making of the iron slabs. This was left out for curtesy to other folk who
also might be in the mine making iron slabs. If there are others get in line and wait your turn.

Making Of Iron:

Iron slabs require three (3) ingredients: Charcoal, Oil, and Iron Ore.

1) Charcoal

a ) "go shrub"	This a room with some wood and a burner
b ) "get tinder"	This is small wood to help start the fire. About 2-3 should do.
c ) "put tinder in burner"	Need to put 2-3 tinder into the burner for the fire.
d ) "get wood"	This will give either logs or sticks. Keep only 2 sticks and about 3-4 logs. Put the sticks aside for later use.
e ) "put log in burner"	Need to put 3-4 logs in the burner for the fire
f ) "rub sticks"	This should start the fire in the burner.
g ) Wait!	Wait for the fire to burn out completely or it will burn!
h ) "get charcoal"	Get the charcoal from the burner and save it for later.

2 ) Iron Ore

a ) directions	go bush, go shadows, down, down, down, south This is the workroom where you will find the ore. Always watch for Kobolds!
b ) "search workface"	Do this to find the ore. About 1-4 pieces. Each time a CLAANNNGGG!!! is heard a piece has been found.
c ) "get ore"	Get the ore and put it away for later use.

3) Oil

a ) directions	north, up, north This is the oil room. Usually a dirty flask of oil may be found here. If none are found then wait and try again.
b ) "search"	Search for the oil
c ) "get oil"	Get the oil and put it away for later use.

4 ) Make the Slabs

* * Note * * This is an easy process but one must be fast and then very patient or the iron will crack and all will be lost.
a ) directions	south, go door This is the Crucible room where the iron slabs will be made. If alone then check the room to the east for others, then get busy and make the iron slabs. If there are others then Please get in line and wait. Ask who is last in line then wait for that person to finish.
b ) "look in crucible"	Make sure there is nothing in the crucible before starting.
c ) "turn valve"	Turn valve until told the valve is "Open"
d ) "put charcoal in crucible"	Only put one (1) piece in the crucible
e ) "put ore in crucible"	Up to 4 pieces may be put into the crucible at a time. One ore will give one iron slab, 2 will give 2, etc... up to 4 slabs total
f ) "turn valve"	Turn the valve once to close the valve
g ) go east	Pour oil in drum, Pull chain, Pull bellow
h ) go west	turn valve once - opens the valve
i ) go east	pull chain, pull bellow, pull chain, pull bellow - Do this Quickly!
j ) go west	wait and be patient. The fire needs to die down and the slabs need to cool or a burn will happen! This may take a few minutes.
k ) wait for
l ) "get iron"	Get All the iron made out of the crucible. 4 slabs will be very heavy!

Experience From Iron:

Up until about age 6 trains iron slabs may be sold to the blacksmith in Wehnimer's Landing to gain quick experience. ( usually, almost a full mind is gained ) There are basically 2 ways to do this:

Option 1:

1 ) Visit the blacksmith
2 ) Ask for a job and recieve a map
3 ) Go to the Kobold Mines and make the iron slab (s)
4 ) Return to the Blacksmith
5 ) Hold the map in the right hand
6 ) Hold the iron in the left hand
7 ) "give blacksmith"
8 ) Gain experience

Option 2:

1 ) Go to the Kobold Mines and make the iron slab (s)
2 ) Visit the blacksmith
3 ) Ask for a job and recieve a map
4 ) Hold the map in the right hand
5 ) Hold the iron in the left hand
6 ) "give blacksmith"
7 ) Gain experience

The Blacksmith is located from inside the north gate as follows:

south, west, south, south, east, east, east, east, south, go gate, south
